Gamers play through this crosscountry adventure from the perspective of a heroic pup named Jake. Jake is on a journey that leads him through all sorts of locations, from a remote ski resort to bustling cities, all the while at odds with the villainous, doghating Miss Peaches. In addition to Jake, players also get a chance to play as dogs of other breeds, each with different abilities and characteristics. Especially notable is the game's "smellovision" system, designed to help players perceive the pastoral game world as a dog really would, picking up on trails and scents invisible to the human eye.
